The objective of our children’s ministry is to expose them to Jesus early and often and to help them make a decision for Christ in their lives. At New Horizons, we understand that our young people need to hear the Word ministered to them on their level. Our children’s ministry is divided into age/grade groupings and children receive a lesson specifically tailored to their stage of development. New Horizons uses the FaithWeaver curriculum in our children’s church classes. It integrates relationship building, experiences that teach, applicable Bible truths, and learner-focused activities for a class experience that ministers to the hearts, minds and spirits of our young people.
Nursery – 6th Grade: 8:30am and 10:30am, 1st – 4th Sunday
7th – 8th Grade: 10:30 am, 1st – 4th Sunday
9th – 12th Grade: 8:30am, 10:30am & 12:30pm, every 2nd Sunday
New Horizons uses the Kidcheck system to check our young people into Children’s Church. If you are a planning a visit to New Horizons in the near future and you’d like your children to attend Children’s Church while you are in worship, you can smooth the way by registering your young people with Kidcheck in advance. Registration is free. When you visit New Horizons, simply follow directions to the Children’s Church check in desk and enter your phone number at the computer station. Your registration will appear on screen and labels will be printed for each of your youngsters with their name and class assignment printed on them.
