WHAT IS BAPTISM?
We are saved through faith in Jesus Christ, which is demonstrated by confessing with one’s mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believing in one’s heart that God raised Him from the dead.  (Romans 10:9).  Baptism is an outward symbol of an inward commitment to Christ.  While we are not saved through baptism, we are commanded to be baptized according to Matthew 28:19.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR BAPTISM?
Christians age five to adult are eligible for baptism.  Infants and children age four and younger are eligible for Baby Dedication.

WHEN IS BAPTISM HELD?
Baptism is held at 12:00pm.  Check the church website or Sunday bulletin to find out when the next baptism service will be scheduled.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR BAPTISM?
Candidates for baptism should register by adding their name to the list at the Information Center or call the church office and provide the following information:  Baptism Candidate’s Name (Parent’s name if candidate is under 18), address, phone number, gender, date of birth, and membership status.  Once you are registered, you do not need to do anything else, just show up for the next scheduled baptism with the appropriate attire (see below).  If after registering you determine that you will not be able to attend the baptism service, please call the office to cancel your registration.

WHAT TIME DO I ARRIVE?
Check in at the Welcome Center on the day of baptism anytime from 10:00am – 11:30am.  Baptism candidates need to be ready for baptism, by noon.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Bring with you a set of solid, dark colored:  underclothes, socks, t-shirt and sweatpants (loose fitting).  These are the clothes you will be baptized in, so be sure they are items that you are okay with being submerged in water.  If you would like, you may bring a solid white or clear shower cap.  After the baptism, you will change back into the dry underclothes and other garments in which you arrived.
